Lovely Lattice Thank You Card

It’s hard to believe that this beautiful stamp set would be free! It is one of the Sale-A-Bration selections in the first brochure. It’s called Lovely Lattice and you’ll find it on page 15. The sentiment is from Butterfly Gala and I think it looks like it was made to go with this big floral stamp.

I stamped the image on Crumb Cake with Memento Ink, then colored the flowers with my white Watercolor Pencil (no water added). The centers of the flowers are the Flirty Flamingo pencil, and I added a black rhinestone into the centers.

One extra bit of stepped-up measure that I took was to stamp the single flower four times, color and hand-cut them out. Then I popped them up on Dimensionals for a bit of extra interest. I also put Wink of Stella shimmer pen just on the lattice image. It truly sparkles when you hold it in your hand. I left the leaves un-colored. What do you think? Should I have colored them? I kind of liked it this way and didn’t want to try it and then go, “oops no shouldn’t have done that!”

So, how do you get this stamp, you ask? Buy $50 worth of Stampin’ Up! products ~ most bundles add up to that or close to it ~ and there will be a separate box down on the bottom of the order sheet. Type in Item #149730, and it will ship with your order absolutely free. This Sale-A-Bration promotion goes till March 31, but when items sell out, they generally don’t restock them. Moral of the story ~ buy it now if you want it!

Go make it a great day! See you back on Wednesday!

This is so lovely! What a perfect example of elegance!

  2. I love the white on the crumbcake. I think you were right to leave the leaves uncolored; for my money, this makes the card very sophisticated. Great dimension, too, with the popped-up individual blooms. Another winner!

  3. I have to say, out of all the blogs I get emails from I look forward to yours the most.
