Love and Hugs Fun Fold

Before we get into my card today I want to share with you that Bonus Days is about to begin! Starting January 6, for every purchase of $50, you will earn a $5 USD coupon to spend in February! Now on to today’s card…

I have a fun fold to show you today that is perfect for beginning crafters! It’s a “book binding” fold, very easy, but a little fancier than a regular card. I’m using a new DSP called Lovely Blossoms, and it’s perfect for sending some love and hugs!

Materials, Measurements, and Method:

• Secret Sea Cardstock, 11″x 4-1/4″, scored and folded at 5-1/2″
  • Score a second line at 4-1/4″.
  • Glue down the 1-1/4″ section of cardstock on the inside to create the “book binding” fold.
• Lovely Blossoms DSP (available January 6), floral print at 4″x 4″, and diamond print at 1″x 4″
  • Glue these to the front as shown.
• Nested Essentials Dies and Basic White Cardstock, 2-3/4″x 2″
  • Stamp sentiment from Greenery Lane (available January 6) with Secret Sea ink onto cropped white piece.
  • Stamp a tiny flower, also from Greenery Lane, with Secret Sea ink and add a tiny Rhinestone Basic Jewel in the center.
  • Adhere with Dimensionals.
• Add a bow of Secret Sea Bordered Open Weave Ribbon using Mini Glue Dots. This ribbon is 3/8″ wide and ties so nicely! It is also new, so available Jan. 6.

• Inside: Basic White 4″x 4″, stamped with Greenery Lane in Secret Sea ink
  • To add a touch of color I colored the berries with the Dark Petal Pink Blends Marker.
