Greetings! We have a sketch challenge this week at Create With Connie & Mary. I’ve decided to use Light the Sky and make this a New Year’s card.

I’m going to light the sky with fireworks, sparkles, and holographic foils! I was going to make another Christmas card, but we are so close to the 25th now that I thought it would be more productive to look ahead. New Year’s Eve is just around the corner. If you like this idea, stick with me and I’ll tell you how I made it.
Details:
- Starry Sky Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″ for a top fold
- Basic White Cardstock, 5-1/4″x 4″, with fireworks cropped out using Light the Sky Dies
- Soft Shimmer Paper in Bight of Navy, 2″x 4-3/4″
- Holographic Trio Specialty Paper, 3 strips ~ Berry Burst 1″x 3-3/8″, silver holographic 1″x 3-3/4″, Starry Sky 1″x 3-1/2″
- Basic White Cardstock, 1-1/2″x 2-1/8″
- To this piece, I stamped one of the fireworks images from Light the Sky Stamp Set by sponge daubing Berry Burst around the edges and Starry Sky in the center.
- Then I stamped the sentiment “Happy New Year” from Brightest Glow in Starry Sky.
- I added three tiny Rhinestone Basic Jewels and adhered it to the card front with Dimensionals.
