Life is Beautiful in the Fall (and Upcoming Sale!)

Life is beautiful in the Fall, don’t you agree? All of the gorgeous warm colors on the trees. It’s on my bucket list to visit the Northeast in the Fall! Meanwhile I can dream about it and create my own Fall trees with this stamp set from Stampin’ Up! called Beautiful Life.

I stamped this some time ago, when I first got the set. But it wasn’t time for Fall colors yet, so I tucked it into the case and forgot about it. When I opened the case today to use the stamps, there it was! Ready and waiting for some card application!

I decided to crop it out with the 2nd largest of the Stitched Rectangle Dies. When I did, I cut off some of the tree. That gave me the idea to use the cut-off part as a border and use all of the original stamped image. To define the two sections, I popped the center up with a rectangle of craft foam (aka fun foam). I like the peek of Cherry Cobbler when you look at it from the side!

I also stamped a second birdhouse, hand-cut it out and put a Mini Dimensional behind it to lift it off the page a bit. The bits of sparkly orange are from some old Honey Bee sequins that I have in my closet. They are no longer available for purchase, but if you’ve never checked out the selection of sequins at Honey Bee… there is every color imaginable!

So today, Sept. 22, is the first day of Autumn! Hello Fall! Here’s a look at the same stamp set images that I used to make a summer scene a few months ago. You can look at that post HERE.
