Let It Snow is my “suite of the week” I guess, because today is Day 2 with another card suggestion for you. If you missed Monday’s post, you can see it HERE.

Let it Snow Specialty DSP, Snowman Builder Punch, Let It Snow Embellishment Kit, winter card idea, Stampin Up, Karen Hallam, stampinup

This was a fun card to make, using the Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Embellishment Kit! A pretty classic layout, I was inspired by Linda Heller. I’ve tweaked it into something slightly different, slightly easier, but equally as cute!

Measurements
  • Coastal Cabana cardstock – 11″x 4-1/4″, scored and folded at 5-1/2″ for a top fold.
  • Let It Snow DSP – 4″x 4″ from one pattern, 4″x 1-1/4″ from a coordinating pattern.
  • Real Red cardstock – 3-7/8″x 2-1/2″
  • Pool Party – 3-5/8″x 2-1/4″, cut with Stitched Rectangle Die about that same size.
  • Sparkle Glimmer Paper – 4″x 1/4″ strip, and 2-1/4″x 1″ for snow hill.
  • Whisper White cardstock – 3″x 1-1/2″ for snowman

After layering everything together, punch a snowman out using the Snowman Builder Punch (page 19 of the Holiday Catalog). Next punch a hat from the DSP that has all the hats on it. The Punch lines up nicely with the Top Hat. Dress up Mr. Snowman with parts from the Embellishment Kit, also found on page 19. Give him some arms, eyes, nose, buttons, and a felt scarf! Did you love to dress paper dolls when you were a kid? Yep, me too! 🙂

On the inside, I glued a 4″x 1-1/2″ piece of DSP at the bottom and another 1/4″ strip of Glimmer Paper to tie in with the front. The sentiment is part of the Itty Bitty Christmas greetings stamp set.

The very last step is the little snow balls that come in the Embellishment Kit. I expected these to be impossible. Boy, was I wrong! They are easy as can be with a few drops of Fine-Tip Glue and your Take Your Pick Tool (or any jewel picker tool). These will take a little time to dry, but once they do they are on there for good!
