Latte Love

Did you get a coffee gift card for Christmas? I bet you did! 😄 You can thank your gifter with a handmade card using Latte Love Stamp Set by Stampin’ Up! I mean, it’s perfect. And you want to know what’s even better? This stamp set is on the Last Chance List, discounted to a mere $8.00! The catch is, you need to grab it fast before it’s gone.

This set was paired with a die set that has sold out. The DSP that I used is still available. The great part about buying the stamp set is that even when the paper is gone, you can still stamp and cut out the images, as I did. Let me walk you through it.

Recipe:

• Early Espresso Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″
• A Little Latte DSP, 3/4″x 5-1/4″ strip of the dark coffee splat; 3-1/4″x 5-1/4″ coffee hearts pattern
• Early Espresso strip, 1/4″x 5-1/4″ to cover the “seam”
• Ovals, Early Espresso 4-1/4″x 3″ and Basic White 4″x 2-3/4″ textured with Basics 3D Embossing Folder
  • Stampin’ Up! used to sell oval dies, but haven’t for a long while. I’m hoping they will bring some out with this next Annual Catalog. It’s time for them again!
• Basic White Cardstock to stamp latte cups
  • Stamp the image twice, once with Lost Lagoon and once with Calypso Coral.
  • Stamp the latte art with Pecan Pie.
  • Fill in the white space on the cups with coordinating Blends markers and then run a Dark Brown #100 Blend between the coffee and the edge of the cup.
  • Cut the cups out with Paper Snips.
• For the sentiment:
  • Stamp “thanks so much” from Latte Love using Versamark ink on Early Espresso Cardstock.
  • Heat emboss with white embossing powder.
  • Crop with a sentiment die, such as this one from Heart Shaped Dies (Sale-A-Bration free gift with purchase of $120.)
  • Add it to your card front with Mini Black Dimensionals.
  • Add a bow using Baker’s Twine from the Essentials Pack.
