Sigh! It’s the last day of Camp Create! It’s been a fun week, and I’ve got 5 techniques under my belt! Today’s challenge is to make a card with the focus on Die Cuts. So come take a look at some delightful die cutting here at the MFT site.
For my card, I went back to the Annual Catalog and picked my newly acquired Tidings & Trimmings Bundle. Both the stamps and the dies are delightful. I’ve used the stocking, bow, holly, star, and sprig dies to make this mantle scene.
The bricks and mantle are from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper. I glued them to a base of Evening Evergreen. For the stockings, I stamped two with Evergreen and one with Soft Succulent. I colored the bows with Cherry Cobbler Blends and hung the stockings on the mantle with Dimensionals.
Here’s a look at the whole bundle:
I love the intricate design in the stockings and star. Good for coloring or leaving uncolored, as I did here. I used a different sentiment stamp from this bundle here.
I picked a sentiment from Time of Giving out of the new Mini Catalog (July – December) and heat embossed gold onto a strip of Early Espresso.
Here’s my final camp badge for the week:
I hope you’ve had fun following my camp creations! If you are interested in participating, the links are open for another week. You might win some prizes! That would be a great way to end Camp, wouldn’t it? Let’s roll up the sleeping bags, time to go home 🙂
