A few weeks ago, my friend (and team leader) Susan Itell sent all of her team members a little package in the mail. It contained four pieces of Stampin’ Up! paper. She said, “Let’s see what you all can do with this!” I haven’t seen the other cards yet, but I’m looking forward to it, as I’m pretty sure not one will be anything like the other! How fun!
She sent the piece of Basic Black cardstock, the Crushed Curry cardstock, the Whisper White Stitched square, and the piece of striped DSP from Pick a Pattern.
I went searching for other papers that would coordinate with it and found a remnant of this cute birthday paper with numbers all over it. That led me to the polka dot paper with Crushed Curry, which gave me the idea for the other papers that I used to punch out balloons.
Add a Pacific Point “3” and I had myself a birthday card!
Curl your twine!
Did you know that our white Baker’s Twine curls? Use the blunt edge of your scissors and pull it across like you would with wrapping paper ribbon and you get this cute wavy look! It doesn’t work with all the colors – I’ve tried – and I’m not sure why the white does, but I like it!
This was a fun exercise, and hopefully one we will repeat. Thanks, Susan! Looking forward to seeing all the other creative ideas!
