It’s Blog Hop Day!

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for February 2017. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our 2017 Blog Hop monthly themes.  This month we are CASE’ing a project shown in a current Stampin’ Up! catalog. After all, with the Annual, Occasions and Sale-a-Bration catalogs available right now, there is much inspiration from which to choose. We hope you enjoy our creations.

You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below.  The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.

With so much attention on the recent and fabulous Occasions Catalog, I thought I would give some love to the Annual Catalog and pick something from it to CASE.  I found this beautiful, soft, butterfly card on page 72 and just had to give it a try!
I decided to change it ever so slightly and made the base card from Flirty Flamingo Cardstock. I painted the watercolor background onto a Watercolor Paper panel that I wet completely first, then added the color with my Aqua Painter.  The three colors are Pool Party, Daffodil Delight, and Flirty Flamingo.
Happy Birthday is heat embossed with white embossing powder onto a 1/2″ strip of Basic Black Cardstock, flagged both ends, and adhered to a 1″ wide strip of Vellum Cardstock, also flagged on both ends. Three butterflies are stamped from Papillon Potpourri Stamp Set and punched with the Elegant Butterfly Punch. The Basic Black Baker’s Twine is stapled into the Daffodil Delight butterfly, tied and curled.
All supplies will be listed below.  Please contact me with any questions.  I would love to be your Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator!
Thanks for visiting. To continue with the hop, please refer to the Blog Hop Line-up below. We hope to see you on next month’s Pals Blog Hop!
