Paper Details: When I pulled out Falling in Love Designer Series Paper, I knew I wanted to pair these two prints together. And as I looked closely at tiny checked paper, I knew I had to back it with Basic Gray Cardstock. The fact that the check is on the diagonal, I knew that my sentiment piece needed to be set on the diagonal as well. The sentiment comes from Blooms & Wishes and I stamped it in Sweet Sugarplum.
Color Details: The Sweet Sugarplum in the flower print is a pretty compliment to the Basic Gray. I wanted to pull the color in some details so I added a strip of it cut with the gorgeous So Detailed Thinlits Dies.
Layer details: I cut the diagonal square with a 2-1/8″ square Stitched Shapes Framelit from Very Vanilla. I backed it with Basic Gray. I backed the flowered DSP with another layer of Basic Gray before wrapping the So Details Thinlit strip around it.
Inside details: On the inside, I glued a 1/2″ strip of matching DSP to the bottom, leaving the Very Vanilla piece blank for a sentiment to be added later.
Finishing details: I secured a piece of Sweet Sugarplum 3/8″ Ruched Ribbon, folded it in half, cut the ends at an angle, and added it with a Dimensional under the sentiment. Last, I added a Sugarplum heart from the In Colors Enamel Shapes.
