(It was) Meant To Bee!

How about a Valentine that really doesn’t look like a Valentine, but was definitely “Meant To Bee?”

I love this Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper that I got free with my qualifying order during Sale-A-Bration.

Now as most of you know, there is a coordinating stamp set and die set in the Mini Catalog. BUT, I don’t have it yet. (I will link to them below if you would like to order them.) Still wanting to make a card with the paper, I started looking at what I DO have and what I could put with it. This is what I came up with ~

  • Meant To Be Stamp Set
  • Stitched Be Mine Dies
  • Stone Embossing Folder (also a free SAB item #152317)
  • (retired) Dragonfly Dreams stamp set, and
  • Gold Foil Sheets

Here is the awesome stamp set and dies that I used:

No longer sold as a “Bundle” but still available as a separate stamp set and die set, Meant To Be and Stitched Be Mine Dies are in the Annual Catalog. These are my Valentine staples!

When you look closely, you might notice that the sentiment stamp says “Meant To Be.” I altered it to go with the bee theme by isolating the “e” in Be and stamping it next to the first “e.” It was easy with the old Stamp-a-ma-jig, and I imagine the Stamparatus would make placement very easy as well.

A $50 order also qualifies you for my January Tutorial Package: three card tutorials using the Peaceful Poppies Suite! (Actually, you will receive this package from me with a $40 order, but you may as well go for $50 and get a free SAB item as well, right?!)

When you do place an order with me, kindly use my Host Code C6K6C6EB when prompted. Thank you so much!

Enjoy the rest of your week ~

  1. Is the bee from the retired dragonfly set. Did you fussy cut it out. I can’t figure out the die from that set!! Love your card and doing good til the bee makes no sense to me!!

    • I understand your confusion! Yes, the stamps are from Dragonfly Dreams. I stamped the more detailed one in black, then stamped over it with the solid looking image with Daffodil Delight, then I cut it out with my scissors and put Wink of Stella on the wings. The bee die in that set is a very detailed cut and didn’t work for this! Hope that helps!

  2. Bee-utiful. So fun, I looked at the set before I read that you added the extra “e” to it. I really like the paper and have made several cards with it. I am just not sure if I really need the stamp set and dies. I have an old bee set. Oh, I forgot, you really made that stone embossing folder shine! Fun card.

  3. Quite an original card, great idea.

  4. Thank you!! Such a cute idea!
