Is it Mickey? or Minnie?

A sweet friend of mine just celebrated her birthday (same day as mine!) and I didn’t have to think twice about what theme I would make her birthday card! She is one of the biggest Disney fans I know, so red, black, and white came out with some circle punches to start creating. I’m not sure, though, is it Mickey? or Minnie?

Either way, it was so much fun to design this card. I used a black and white print from True Love Designer Series Paper for the background. The Mickey/Minnie balloon was made by punching out three circles with punches. The other balloons were punched out with the Balloon Bouquet Punch and whatever DSP I could find in red, white, and yellow.

I stamped the sentiment from Beautiful Friendship with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White Cardstock and cropped it with a Layering Oval Die. The oval behind it is Real Red and also a Layering Oval Die. Before I adhered the sentiment label with Dimensionals, I drew strings coming down from the balloons with a black pen.

So much on this card is on the Retiring List! I will link the various products to the “Last Chance Product List” as I name them. True Love Designer Series Paper, Layering Oval Dies, 2″ Circle Punch, 1-1/2″ Circle Punch, and Beautiful Friendship Stamp Set. I also used previously retired Balloon Bouquet Punch and the mini heart punch from way back when.

So be it Mickey or Minnie, I’m sure these balloons made the birthday girl smile with delight! It’s just a lot of fun!
