In The (Glittery) Woods

If you have ever lived in a place where they have a “silver frost” in the winter, you might appreciate the look I was going for on my card today!

It is SO hard to capture on the camera, but my grove of trees has been bedazzled and it is very pretty in person. I used Winter Woods on my card today, this time using the stamp set only. But you really must get the whole bundle as it is a beautiful set! And yes, you’ll save 10% which is nice!

The colors I used on this card are Soft Sea Foam, Sahara Sand, Whisper White, and Mossy Meadow (card layer).

To get the grove of trees, I first stamped the whole thing in Soft Sea Foam, then went over the trunks with my Sahara Sand Stampin’ Write Marker. The Stamparatus was very helpful with this, as the colors came out best with 2-3 inkings.

I stamped them once on the left side of the Whisper White layer, then moved the stamp over to make a longer grove of trees. Then I repeated the process with the small grass stamp, which was very easy to line up.

To glitter my trees I used Versamark Ink and a glitter embossing powder (non SU), but you can get this look in many different ways. For example, dot the trees with the Fine Tip Glue Pen and sprinkle Dazzling Diamonds Glitter over it. Or dot it with Stickles Diamond Glitter Glue. I chose this over Wink of Stella because I love the texture it creates. However I did brush Wink of Stella on the grass and over the die cut sentiment.

On the inside, I stamped the sentiment from Merry Christmas To All in Mossy Meadow. Right over the top of that I stamped the flower image from Dashing Deer in Soft Sea Foam.

I love the peaceful scene this creates and the sparkle is the”icing on the cake!”
