I am wild about this stamp set! It is Wild About Flowers and it is mostly a set for retirement cards. Not quite ready for retirement cards? Well, keep the sentiments for a later date but use the beautiful collection of wild flower stamps now!
I got my idea for this card from one I found on Pinterest by Jenn Tinline. Her stamping was superb and I couldn’t wait to try my hand at it. The sponging of the green grass and blue sky areas make it seem very realistic.
This card would probably fall under the spring or summer category, so I’m a little off-season here, but I always need birthday cards – and I have someone in mind for this one!
I used Old Olive, Soft Sky, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, and Real Red Classic Stampin’ Pads. I stamped off once for the lighter shades of green. Layering Ovals Framelits are popped up on Dimensionals over a double strand of Gold Baker’s Twine. Three gold Metallic Enamel Shapes finish it off.
If you don’t recognize the sentiment stamps that I used, it is because I took them from past Paper Pumpkin Kits! Are you a Paper Pumpkin subscriber? The kits are fantastic, and when you have used up all the supplies on your projects ~ you are left with these great, exclusive stamp sets plus an Ink Spot (mini Stampin’ Pad) which will stay good for a long time.
To subscribe to Paper Pumpkin, go to paperpumpkin.com or click HERE, to read all about this fun monthly crafting kit that comes to your mailbox. Each month is different. Another bonus is that there are some very clever card makers that come up with lots of alternative projects for each kit, so your choices are many. To see them, google Paper Pumpkin Alternative Projects and see! By the way, it IS October, and Paper Pumpkin sounds like a Fall or even Halloween Kit, but it isn’t. It’s something new every month, often in conjunction with a holiday but sometimes it’s birthday cards or thank you cards. Try it for a month or two. If you love it, it will continue to come each month. If you decide it’s not for you, you can cancel at any time.
