I Heart You for PPA 284

It doesn’t get much heartier than this!  Today’s card was inspired by the Pals Paper Arts challenge.  Here is the banner that got me started…

I didn’t see a valentine in this sketch at first.  Then after I pulled out my Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack, the ideas started falling into place.

I chose Rose Red for my base color and Blushing Bride for the circle, pulling the colors from the DSP.  I embossed another piece of Rose Red cardstock cut slightly smaller than the base with the Happy Hearts Embossing Folder.  The large red heart is from the Sweetheart Punch and the tiny hearts are from the Hearts Border Punch.  I stamped the sentiment from the And Many More stamp set in black and cut it into a little banner.  A Blushing Bride button and some Baker’s Twine finish it off.

Very simple ~ easy to duplicate!  One more photo to show you that I elevated the large heart with double Dimensionals.  It lifts it up a little higher to make a bigger impact.  Visit www.palspaperarts.com to see all of the entries for some great inspiration – and join us by playing along!  Give it a try ~ it is fun to see what you can create by following a basic sketch.
