Hummingbird Hello

Hummingbirds are such interesting creatures! We have a couple of feeders outside our kitchen window. When they come up to feed it’s like they are saying, “Hello!” as they look in the window before flying off. Their wings make a low hum as they are swooshing by. I colored this hummingbird from Thoughtful Expressions with bright and not-so-realistic colors, but they go with the DSP in the background! ha!

• Bloom Impressions DSP, back side, 3-3/4″x 2″
• Basic White Cardstock, 3-1/4″ diameter, cropped with Spotlight on Nature Dies
  • Stamp “hello” from Layering Leaves in Blackberry Bliss ink.
  • Adhere to card front with Dimensionals.
• Basic White scrap for hummingbird
  • Stamp the hummingbird from Thoughtful Expressions with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and color it with Blends: Melon Mambo, Fresh Freesia, Shy Shamrock, and Basic Black. Add a little sparkle in its wings with a glitter pen.
• Flower clipping from Bloom Impressions DSP
• Pink sequins for sparkle

Here’s a softer version of the hummingbird. I used Watercolor Pencils to color it instead of the Blends. Which do you prefer? I can’t wait to hear which one you would choose!
