A great way to dress up your gift cards this Christmas is with a simple, pretty gift card holder! This project is so easy and you can decorate it any way you want. I’ve got several options to show you.
Directions for the basic holder:
- Cardstock measuring 8-1/2″ x 3-1/4″, score it at 2″ and 6″.
- Designer Series Paper measuring 3″ x 2-1/4″ and 3″ x 1-3/4″.
- Corner round the corners on the top (2″) flap and the bottom of the smaller DSP piece.
- Glue the DSP in place. Punch a partial circle to create a finger-hold in the bottom section.
- Add Tear & Tape to the inside of the bottom section on 2 sides.
- Decorate the front and place a tiny bit of self-adhesive Velcro dot under the top flap to hold the holder closed.
I’ve been on a mission to use up my retired paper. These are the perfect use for that! And if you have saved old stamp sets and framelits like I have, there are endless possibilties! Here are a few more that I’ve made using some of my new and old products ~
Instead of DSP on this one, I stamped the snowflakes from Colorful Seasons and Snow Place onto Crumb Cake with Versamark ink and heat embossed them with white embossing powder. Then I stuck the adorable little penguin from Snow Place on the front.
I did the same using the snowman from Snow Place.
This DSP and poinsettia are from last year’s Home For Christmas.
And back to my original photo… This is current product: Be Merry DSP and Jar of Love with Pretty Pines Thinlits. I have made a bazillion of these this year (well, almost!) for friends, neighbors, craft fairs, my own gift giving. They are quite the hot little item this year!
