Welcome to our November edition of CASEing Coast to Coast! This month Rosanne suggested sharing some Holiday Treats for our CASEing theme. Perfect for Christmas/Holiday preparations!
For this theme, I decided to make some cute tree ornaments that double as treat holders. This is a project that I gleaned from the Paper Pixie. The construction is the same. I changed up the papers to use current products, and I made three different ones for variety.
#1
My first Ornament/Treat Holder is classic Christmas, red and green. These are decorated with Joy of Christmas DSP. My friend, Paula, and I will be hosting a table at our church Women’s Christmas Brunch in December. I’ll be including these at each place setting with a Lindor Truffle inside for each guest.
#2
For my second one, I chose the blues and purples found in Winter Meadow. I’ve said this before, but I love this paper! I just think these colors are so pretty together. Any number of holiday treats will fit inside.
#3
And for my third one, I decided to make one for the guys using Gone Fishing DSP. I’m thinking of a specific friend who will love the fishing theme. Maybe I’ll include a lure inside – or some Swedish Fish for his holiday treats!
Each treat box is decorated with a sentiment from Sweet Candy Canes (retired stamp set), either stamped or heat embossed, on a 1-3/8″ circle of Basic White, backed with a 1-1/2″ circle in a coordinating color. I included a colored rhinestone or a Rustic Metallic Dot on each. The ribbon is approximately 20″ long to create the hanging loop and the bow in the front.
The approximate finished size on these Ornaments is 3″x 2-1/2″. The box itself is 1-3/4″x 1-3/4″.

Happy Christmas crafting everyone! ‘Tis the season!
