He’s Retiring!

After 30+ years of being our family dentist (three generations of us, I might add) our beloved Dr. Smith is retiring!  I wish him well, but really want to say, “You can’t!”
I’m being mature though, and instead I’ll send him a nice card and tell him what a great dentist he’s been…
I used Wild About Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set – my first time to use it, but I’m sure it won’t be my last.  I didn’t want the card to be too feminine, which this set of wild flowers can easily get, so I went with a blue and green color palette.  This DSP is from the Moroccan paper series.  The Emerald Envy Thick Baker’s Twine was some left over from a recent Paper Pumpkin kit and the Dapper Denim dot is one of the In Color Enamel Shapes.
I stamped the sentiment on Very Vanilla, cropped it with a Lots of Labels Framelit, then chopped a bit off the top and bottom to give it a more narrow shape.
This is a very nice sentiment on the inside.  I was thinking maybe “How could you?!” but that one wasn’t in the set!! 🙂
The envelope gets some love with the matching DSP.  The Emerald Envy strip is 1/4″ wide.  Are you wondering why I do that?  I’ll tell you ~ I can get more from my DSP that way.  My DSP strip is 2″ wide x 6″ long.  I can decorate 6 envelopes with 1/2 sheet of paper.  No waste!
Let’s talk about Paper Pumpkin for a minute.  There is currently a BOGO special for Paper Pumpkin and you can get in on it from now until October 10.  This is a great time to try out PP if you haven’t yet.  New subscribers will get the October kit for $19.99 and the November kit comes to your mailbox for FREE.
You get lots of extra supplies to use on other projects (like my Emerald Envy Thick Baker’s Twine on the above project) and not only that, but subscribers have access to refill kits for less than half the price of a new kit.  So if you love the September kit ~ those little glass vials are so cute and versatile ~ but you didn’t get signed up in time, as a new subscriber, you can order the refill kit of that September kit.  Refill kits include everything except the stamps and ink spot.
Go to paperpumpkin.com now and read about how you can get started.

Now go have some stamping fun and make someone’s day with a handmade card or gift from you!
