Herb Garden Thank You

My sister-in-law showed up for Thanksgiving with this beautiful herb garden in hand ~ lucky me!  I knew just what I wanted to use on a thank you card for her!
I combined Basket of Wishes and Live, Love, Grow to create (as best I could) a reproduction with paper and ink.  This card is so cute, if I do say so myself!  It is perfectly “me.” When you figure out what your style is, it is fun to bring that personality out on each card.
It measures 4 1/4″ square.  I love square cards, but don’t always want to pay extra postage for the shape.  If you make it 4 1/4″ square, it will fit into a Medium Envelope from our catalog and no extra postage will be necessary.
I started with a piece of Old Olive measuring 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ and scored it at 4 1/4″ to create the base. I embossed the front only of the base with the Petal Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
Next I cut a piece of Always Artichoke at 3 3/4″ x 3 3/4.”  A 3 1/2″ square of Watercolor Paper is glued to the Artichoke layer after stamping and watercoloring the plant.
Stampin’ Ink Pads used:  Basic Gray, Cajun Craze, Old Olive, Always Artichoke, Garden Green, and Sahara Sand.
Coloring Tools and Accessories:  Aqua Painter, Blender Pen, and Old Olive Baker’s Twine
I covered the back flap of the envelope with a piece of Always Artichoke Designer Series Paper.
On the inside I layered Old Artichoke with Watercolor Paper, stamped a sprig from Live, Love, Grow, and a Thank You from a brand new set called All Things Thanks.  It will be available when the Occasions Catalog comes out on January 4, 2017.
I hope you like my little card as much as I do!  It was fun and easy to make.  I used the Aqua Painter to color the basket, but found the Blender Pen to be easier on the plants.  Give it a try!
