Hello With a Flourish!

Hi there stampers and crafters!  I am back from my two week stay in the beautiful state of Washington and I am more than ready to get back to my stampin’ habit!  I’ve missed creating and sharing, and I’m ready to jump back in.

Today I have a card that I created using the Flourishing Phrases bundle.  I love this bundle!  It is so pretty.  I played with it all weekend, and here is one of the cards I want to show you….

I created the background using Versamark Ink on a Sahara Sand cardstock base.  I used the large flourish in the Clear Mount stamp set and randomly stamped around the card.  Versamark is usually used with embossing powder, but it can be used as a stamping medium as well.  It leaves a tone-on-tone effect.  Subtle and pretty!

I mounted another piece of Sahara Sand, 4 3/8″ x 3 1/8″, onto a slightly larger piece of Whisper White, 4 1/2″ x 3 1/4″, and wrapped a length of Mint Macaron ribbon around it.

Next I cropped out four of the smaller flower images using a piece of DSP.  This is where the learning came in…
Habit Tip:  Even though I used my Precision Base Plate to cut these out, the DSP is thin and the larger images did not cut through.  These smaller ones did cut just fine, but for the larger images heavier cardstock works much better.

I also used my new Duet Banner Punch and Thoughtful Banners Photopolymer Stamp Set (buy this as a bundle too and save 10%!).  I stamped the banner in Sahara Sand and the greeting from Flourishing Phrases is in Flirty Flamingo.  Another Tip:  Stamp your greeting first (it is a clear-mount stamp) then stamp the photopolymer banner over it.  You can see through the photopolymer for perfect placement.  Last, I added a Mint Macaron bow and three Flirty Flamingo Enamel Shapes in the flower centers.

On the inside I glued down the long Flourish from the set.  Here are photos of the bundles ~

You can purchase the stamp set separately from the framelits, but they
compliment each other so nicely and you save 10% by getting the bundle.
I would definitely recommend purchasing the bundle!  Something to note
however, the flourish framelit is not designed to cut out the flourish
image from the stamp.  They are different, but do compliment each
other.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Remember that for every purchase of $50 or more during the month of July, you will receive (via email) a $5 coupon to be used for Stampin’ Up! products in the month of August.
