I got the idea for this card from a post by B. J. Peters. Mine is not quite as elaborate as hers, but a similar look. First I stamped a piece of 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ Whisper White with the Hardwood Background Stamp in Sahara Sand. Then I cropped a rectangular hole out of the middle with my Stampin’ Trimmer. I did the same with another piece of white that measured 1/4″ bigger to create the window frame.
I stamped a garden of wildflowers on a piece of White Shimmer Paper and watercolored the images. These stamps are from the Sale-A-Bration item, Flowering Fields, free with a qualifying purchase of $50 or more, now through March 31st. I adhered them to the back of the window with Dimensionals.
Hello Spring is from Circle of Spring, available in the Annual Catalog. I cropped it with my 1″ Square Punch, then cut a pink square just 1/8″ larger to back it with. The Pink Pirouette butterfly is from the Bold Butterfly Framelits set # 138135 in the Annual Catalog.
This could be an all-occasion card, or a Mother’s Day card (thinking ahead) or a birthday card. I know my Mother-in-Law will love it. She is a gardener extraordinaire!
