Hearts of Elegance for the Pals Blog Hop

I’ve made a heart-filled card with Hearts of Elegance for the Pals Blog Hop this month!

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month’s theme is “The Language of Love.” We hope our creations inspire you today! The lineup at the end of my post will help guide you to all the Pals participating today.

Happy Valentine’s Day! “My heart belongs to you” is definitely “the language of love!” I have been enjoying these Hearts of Elegance stamps and dies so much this year. For today’s Hop card I used the largest dies and the beautiful Marbled Elegance DSP, another favorite!

Here’s my recipe:
  • Thick Basic White Cardstock base, 11″x 4-1/4″, folded at 5-1/2″
  • Basic White Cardstock, 5-1/2″x 4-1/4″, textured with the So Swirly Embossing Folder
  • Melon Mambo Cardstock, 5″x 4-1/4″, largest heart die in Hearts of Elegance
    • Glue this heart down to the textured white panel. Trim the excess paper hanging over the edges, then glue the panel to the card base.
  • Marbled Elegance DSP, 2nd largest heart in the die collection, 4″x 3-3/4″
    • This die is solid with a fun dotted border. Glue it over the center of the Melon Mambo heart.
  • Gold Foil Sheet, 2-1/4″x 2-1/4″
    • Crop the smaller heart with the textured pierced design, then adhere it with Dimensionals.
  • Basic White for the sentiment, 3″x 1-1/2″
    • Stamp the sentiment from Hearts of Elegance in Melon Mambo ink. Trim by hand around the sentiment. Adhere to the center of the large hearts with Dimensionals.
  • Gold Open Weave Trim, about 6″
    • Tie this trim in a single knot in the center of the 6″, trim off the ends as desired, and attach it with a Mini Glue Dot.

  • Add a piece of Melon Mambo DSP, 6″x 2-1/4″ to the back flap of a Medium White Envelope and trim the excess off around the edges. This is a great way to use up some of that older 6″x 6″ DSP that comes in all the color families!

The Gold Foil Sheet and the gold ribbon pull in the gold foiling of the designer paper! So pretty!
