We are heading into a period when card making reigns supreme ~ Valentine’s Day! I was excited to see the sketch on Freshly Made Sketches this morning because it gave me great inspiration for my first Valentine. I used Hearts of Elegance by Stampin’ Up! along with a few other tools of the trade to make this card:

Here’s my recipe:
- Thick Basic White Cardstock for the base, 8-1/2″x 4-1/4″, folded at 4-1/4″
- Melon Mambo Cardstock layer, 3-7/8″x 3-7/8″
- Bubble Bath Cardstock layer, 3-1/2″x 3-1/2″, embossed with Honey Bee Fluttering Hearts Pierced Coverplate
- Large hearts cropped from Hearts of Elegance Dies
- 2-1/2″ heart from Marbled Elegance DSP
- 1-1/2″ heart from Marbled Elegance DSP
- 1-1/4″ heart from Gold Foil Sheet
- Tiny hearts cropped from SSS Mini Hearts Set, Melon Mambo Cardstock and Gold Foil
- Sentiment from Hearts of Elegance, stamped with Melon Mambo ink onto Basic White Cardstock, and cropped from SU Unbounded Love Dies
- Medium White Envelope flap covered with 6″x 2-1/4″ piece of Marbled Elegance DSP, trimmed to match the envelope flap
- Inside stamp from Hearts of Elegance and Melon Mambo ink
