Hearts & Florals

I was asked to be a Guest Designer at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge this week! Since I love playing with the TTTC boards, I happily agreed to join them in this challenge! I incorporated hearts & florals into my Valentine design.

Here’s the Challenge Board:

I went across the top of the Tic Tac Toe board with hearts, die cutting, and red/pink. With the addition of the flowers, I also claim the left vertical row ~ hearts, florals, and texture.

Here’s my recipe:

• Thick Basic White Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, scored and folded at 4-1/4″
• Made With Love DSP strip, 4-3/4″x 1-3/4″
• Gold Foil skinny strip, 4-3/4″x 1/4″
• Real Red Cardstock, large heart from Endless Love Dies, 3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″, adhered with Dimensionals
• Basic White and Strawberry Slush Cardstock, each cropped with a medium heart from Endless Love Dies, 2-1/2″x 2-1/4″
  • Cut off the ribbon holes from each heart.
  • In the middle of the Strawberry Slush heart, stamp “love” from Sweet Jar Stamp Set at a slight angle with Versamark Ink, sprinkle with gold embossing powder, and heat set.
  • Cut the white heart in half, spread the halves out and glue them to the back of the Strawberry Slush heart.
  • Glue the two hearts to the large red heart.
• Gold Foil scrap for the arrow
  • Cut the arrow in half and glue each half on either side of “love” on the Strawberry Slush heart. Glue only the shaft of the arrow.
• Extraordinary Floral Washi Tape added to Basic White Cardstock and cut with the Extraordinary Floral Die
• Gold Foil hearts, Endless Love Dies

On the inside:

• “Happy Valentine’s Day” from Endless Love, stamped with Real Red ink
