Wow! Our final Create post for 2022!!! Fitting that I went for a Happy New Year card using Celebrate Everything DSP!
Here is the challenge banner:
And here is my card:
Do you have fireworks on New’s Year Eve where you live? They’re not only for July 4th. We have them at New Year’s, at the State Fair, at baseball games! This is a fun versatile paper that will be well-used all year long. However, it’s only available through January 4th, as it’s a Host Option in the July-Dec Mini Catalog. With a purchase or sale totaling $150, a pack of this 12″x 12″ paper (48 sheets!) is only $18. If you didn’t purchase it before, you have a few more days!
On to my card!
To make this card, I started with Polished Pink for a base. I cut a 5″x 4″ piece of Celebrate Everything DSP, then cut that into four 1-1/4″ wide strips. I glued them to the base in a way that kept the design intact, leaving a 1/16th” gap between the strips.
The oval frame comes from Fitted Florets Dies. “Let’s Celebrate” can be found in the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set. I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black, then again with Versamark ink and I heat embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder.
After cutting the strip and angling the ends, I adhered it with Foam Adhesive Strips. They provide an extra height to the strip for a little more dimension.
In-Color Opal Rounds in Polished Pink and Simply Elegant Trim provide the final touch of sparkle and shine that every good New Year’s card needs! 🙂
“Happy New Year” is from Brightest Glow Stamp Set and it will carry over into the next catalog.
Now let’s click over to Create With Connie & Mary and see what the other designers made with this sketch!
Here’s wishing you a very Happy New Year and for blessings throughout 2023!
