I was inspired by Linda Heller to make this card ~
This fun and simple layout can be used with many different combinations of Designer Series Papers. Here I’ve used one of the specialty papers from Affectionately Yours and Copper Foil on a base of Night of Navy.
To start, I stamped a tone-on-tone design using Night of Navy ink on the base card with the matching Love & Affection stamp set. Then I cut a 1-1/2″ strip of the flowery DSP with touches of copper embossing and punched both ends with my Triple Banner Punch. Then I cut a 1-3/4″ wide strip of Copper Foil, flagged the ends, and glued the two together. The overall length of the two strips is 5-1/4″.
Next I stamped the birthday sentiment from Birthday Blooms and cropped it with the 2-3/8″ Stitched Shapes circle framelit. I attached it to the DSP with Dimensionals and secured a bow of Cucumber Crush Thick Baker’s Twine and Copper Thread with a tiny paper clip.
On the inside, I stamped another piece from Birthday Blooms in Night of Navy, then added three tiny flowers from Love & Affection in Cucumber Crush, Daffodil Delight, and Flirty Flamingo.
I had some fun with the envelope! I stamped 3 flowers and leaves from Love & Affection. I used a touch of Mercury Glass Stickles by Ranger (not Stampin’ Up!) to the centers of these flowers and to the centers on the inside of the card. The Mercury Glass looks very coppery, so it ties it altogether!
Then on the back of the envelope, I added a piece of Daffodil Delight from the Brights DSP Stack, then added a strip of coordinating Washi Tape along the bottom of the flap. If you saw my tip in yesterday’s post, you’ll recognize it here. If you missed my Tuesday Tip, see it HERE.
