Great Family Occasions: Pal’s Blog Hop!

Hello, welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month our Design Team’s theme is “Great Family Occasions.” We hope you enjoy and will be inspired by them! Don’t forget to leave comments! We love hearing from you. At the end of my post, you will find the full line-up to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

What greater family occasion than welcoming a newborn! I decided to make a baby card for my entry, but went a little unconventional with the images. Knowing that this fun Hey Chick bundle is soon coming to an end, I had to make a little farm scene for the new family. 🙂

Hey, Chick!

Mama Hen is anxiously waiting to meet her new little chick! This fun stamp set was introduced a couple of years ago, but was brought back for the January-June 2021 mini catalog along with a die set, sold as a bundle. You can still get it, until the end of this month, then it hits the retired list again. Here’s a look at the bundle:

So fun! Check out the detail in the chicken coop and corn!

Stamp, Color, Cut!

I stamped “Hello BABY” from So Sentimental Stamp Set (also retiring May 3), colored the heart with a Real Red Blend marker, then cropped it out using the smallest of the Stitched So Sweetly dies.

Mama Hen and Baby Egg are also colored with Blends: Gray Granite, So Saffron, Mango Melody, and Real Red. The coop is cut from Basic Gray Cardstock, the chicken wire from Gray Granite, and the corn from Garden Green and So Saffron.

The background is a combined DSP using Crumb Cake to match the card base and Balmy Blue for the sky. I cut the rectangle out with a Stitched Rectangle die.

Hop on!

More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Mark your calendars for our next blog hop on May 12th when our theme is “2021-2023 New In Colors” when our Design Team creates a project with the new family of In Colors for any occasion. Don’t miss the fun! Until then, please stay safe and have fun in your craft space.
