Gold Leaf Gratitude

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day! I want to take a moment to tell you that I’m so grateful for you this year. Thank you for encouraging me to keep posting and sharing my craft. Thank you for buying my kits and Stampin’ Up! products, which in turn helps me to keep posting and sharing my craft! 🙂 I’m calling this card Gold Leaf Gratitude and I was inspired by a card that my friend sent to me.

beautiful autumn, love of leaves, stitched so sweetly dies, stitched leaves dies, tasteful textile 3d embossing folder, fall card idea, grateful for you card idea, stampin up, karen hallam

Here is the card I received…

I love the textured gold and the multi-colored leaves. So I attempted to re-create a Stampin’ Up! version of this pretty card.

Card Details

For my version, I used a base of Thick Whisper White and covered the front with Gold Foil, texturized with the Tasteful Textiles 3D Embossing Folder. I glued a Whisper White label to the center made with a Stitched So Sweetly Die. For the leaves I used Poppy Parade and Daffodil Delight Cardstock. I stamped the cardstock with matching inks and the Love of Leaves Stamp Set. Then I daubed the Poppy leaves with a touch of Rich Razzleberry ink and the Daffodil leaves with some Poppy Parade ink.

I chose a sentiment from the Beautiful Autumn Stamp Set and cut the trio of Gold Foil Hearts with a Celebration Labels Die.

I’ve seen these beautiful, bright colors all over my neighborhood these past few weeks! I love the colors of Fall! See another card that I made using the Love of Leaves Bundle here.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you have a safe and fun-filled holiday with your families. I will be spending the next week tending to some of our family business, so I will not have time to blog. I’ll be back with a few more Christmas ideas for you in about 10 days or so. And then we have the new January-June Mini Catalog to explore!

Blessings to you all,

  1. Thank you. I look forward to all of your posts. And I really regret not ordering your “back to school teacher” kit that featured two items. Next time I’ll jump quicker on some of your kit offers. Happy Thanksgiving.
