Going Back to Blooms & Bliss!

Welcome to my blog!  I will be featuring cards that showcase the Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Papers that are on sale during the month of October 2016 for the next few posts. Yes!  Buy three Designer Series Papers (DSP for short) and get one free!  There are so many great ways to use this paper.  I can’t wait to share some ideas with you.
I’m starting with my favorite DSP, Blooms & Bliss, from the 2016-17 Annual Catalog.  This paper is gorgeous, some with the Rich Razzleberry/Sweet Sugarplum/Blushing Bride combo, and some with Island Indigo/Mint Macaron combo that you’ll see below.
I got my inspiration for this card design from my new friend, Jeanie Stark, at Just Stampin’. She has made some beautiful projects and I always look forward to seeing what she is working on.
I layered the DSP onto a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Blushing Bride cardstock.  The two coordinating DSPs are actually front and back of the same paper, so it’s easy to cut a piece at 5″ x 3 3/4″, cut that piece to 3″ and 2″, then flip the bottom one around and glue.  I covered the seam with Sweet Sugarplum ribbon, then popped the whole piece up with Dimensionals and attached it to a Rich Razzleberry base.
The sentiment is our single stamp, Stylized Birthday, so fun and a must have in everyone’s craft room!  I stamped it on a Whisper White piece and trimmed it down to 2 3/4″ x 2 3/8.” Use your favorite flower punch with a scrap of the DSP and add a tiny rhinestone.  So easy!  It’s this paper that really makes the card so beautiful.
On the inside, I stamped along the bottom of a Whisper White insert with the coordinating Blooms & Wishes Photopolymer stamp set.
Here is the accompanying card in the Indigo/Mint combo ~
Would you love to have this paper?  You can get it free when you buy three packs of DSP during the month of October.  Click HERE for the details ~
Have a wonderful weekend!  I am going up to the foothills of the Sierras for a Women’s Retreat and I’m looking forward to a fun, get-away weekend.  I hope you have something fun in your plans too. And if you live anywhere in the vicinity of Hurricane Matthew, my prayers are with you.  Stay safe!
