Gifts From the Garden

Hello, welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month our Design Team is showcasing “Gifts From the Garden.” We hope you enjoy and will be inspired by them! Don’t forget to leave comments! We love hearing from you. At the end of my post, you will find the full line-up to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

Gift From My Garden

I live in Northern California, where gifts from the garden are plentiful for much of the year. Our flower beds begin blooming in February and rotate through the various florals through November! One plant that is pretty steady through the summer is our African Daisy, so I picked the Daisy Punch and Ornate Gardens DSP for my card today.

Our garden has the purple and white varieties, but this paper is really pretty in its Bumble Bee, Soft Suede, and So Saffron, and white. Here are the details for making the card:

  • Thick Whisper White Cardstock, 11″x 4-1/4″, scored and folded at 5-1/2″
  • Soft Suede Cardstock, 5-1/4″x 4″
  • Ornate Gardens DSP, 5-1/8″x 3-7/8″
  • Soft Suede Cardstock, 5-1/8″x 2″, each long side cut with Ornate Borders Dies
  • Whisper White Cardstock, 6″x 4″ for six punched Medium Daisies, and 2″x 1″ for sentiment cut with Stitched Shapes small oval
  • Old Olive Cardstock, 6″x 2″ scrap for Ornate Borders Die leaves
  • Soft Suede ink pad for Blossoms in Bloom sentiment, and Bumble Bee ink pad for daisy centers
  • Bumble Bee Gingham Ribbon

Quick Directions

Glue the layers together. Then glue two daisy punches together and attach with one Dimensional on the back of each. Tuck and glue the Old Olive leaves into place. Tie a bow and add the ribbon with a Glue Dot. Stamp and add the sentiment oval with Dimensionals.

Here’s a look at our daisy ground cover. The blooms are much thinner now than earlier in the year, but the bees still love them! This little guy was working hard on that daisy!
