Gathering Moments for CSF 890

Here we are again with another Thursday posting of Create with Stamping Friends! Today we have a color challenge: Basic Beige, Crushed Curry, and Old Olive. I’ve picked my favorite fall bundle and paper again for this challenge ~ Gathering Moments for CSF890.

Here’s the challenge:

And here’s my card:

I wasn’t absolutely sure about these GIANT leaf dies in this bundle, until I used one on this card, and now I’m a convert. I love them!

My recipe:
  • Old Olive Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″
  • Crushed Curry Cardstock, cropped with the 5-1/4″x 3-7/8″ Textured Notes Die
  • Basic Beige Cardstock, cropped with the 3-3/4″x 2-1/4″ Textured Notes Die
    • Tip: I cut this in half right down the middle and spread it out a little to line up with the Crushed Curry die cut piece. There’s about 1/8″ gap in the middle, covered up by the large leaf die.
  • Five Old Olive strips measuring 3-7/8″x 1/4″
  • Old Olive Cardstock for leaf, 4-1/4″x 4″
    • This will go directly under the DSP leaf to give it stability. You may glue the 2 pieces of paper together first, then die cut them out together (easiest), or cut them separately and then glue them together.
  • Gathering Together DSP, 4-1/4″x 4″ for large leaf die, and 2-3/4″x 1-1/4″ beige print for sentiment
    • Stamp the sentiment from Gathering Moments in Old Olive onto the DSP and fussy cut around the words. Glue onto the leaf.
    • The large leaf will be attached with Dimensionals.
  • Black & White & Gold Baker’s Twine, white one, double strands tied into a bow and attached with a Glue Dot
  • Three Opal Rounds for embellishment
