Welcome September! We have a sketch challenge to start of the month at Create With Connie & Mary! And since the new Mini Catalog went live this week, I can use some new products! I’ve chosen Garden Walk 6″x 6″ DSP and Calypso Coral Braided Linen Trim to use on my card today. Both are newly available and both are gorgeous!
Here’s the sketch:
And here’s my card:
I love this bright and pretty paper!
Details:
- Thick Basic White Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″
- Calypso Coral Cardstock, 5-1/4″x 3-1/8″
- Garden Walk DSP, (floral) 5-1/8″x 3″; (green stripe) two strips 4-1/4″x 3/4″
- Basic White label cropped with Scalloped Contour Dies, 2-1/2″x 1-1/4″
- Stamp label with Layering Leaves Dies and Garden Green ink.
- Adhere to card front using Dimensionals.
- Garden Green and Calypso Coral branches punched with Bough Punch
- Calypso Coral Braided Linen Trim, 7″, threads pulled and tied in a bow
- Attach with a Glue Dot.
This Braided Trim can be separated into several threads. I loosened the ends and pulled individual threads until I got four of them. I tied those into a bow and trimmed the ends.
Now head over to Create With Connie & Mary and see what the other designers have created with this sketch!

What a fun and refreshing card. The sketch is great but the colors you used just makes me smile. Sort of a farewell to summer and a nod to the fall colors to come. I love “thinking of you cards” and this is so fun.
