It’s Thursday again and time for a Create With Connie & Mary challenge! We have a sketch this week. I’ve chosen Garden Walk DSP to make a birthday card. Here’s the sketch ~
I went topsy-turvy again – turning it onto its side, as it seemed to fit my elements better. Here’s my card ~
Isn’t this a bright and cheerful birthday card?
Details:
- Paper ~ Poppy Parade Cardstock, Garden Green Cardstock, Garden Walk DSP, Basic White
- Stamps ~ Throughout the Year
- Ink ~ Poppy Parade
- Tools ~ Bough Punch, Paper Snips
- Embellishments ~ 2023-25 In Color Dots (Wild Wheat)
Put It Together:
- Cut the Poppy Parade Cardstock to 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″, and a strip 4-1/4″x 3/8″.

- Glue in place and add the skinny Poppy Parade strip across the front after angle cutting the ends.
- Fussy cut a large Poppy Parade flower from the Garden Walk DSP.
- Arrange the green boughs, place the flower over the boughs and secure with Dimensionals.

Great card. The striped part really adds interest and a great pairing with that pretty flower. Before I forget, have a great vacation.
