Garden Lane

Let’s take one more look at  Garden Lane Designer Series Paper.  This beautiful paper is still available to purchase but won’t be around for much longer. On June 2, 2020, it will be gone, along with all of the Designer Series Papers that we have enjoyed for the past year. It has been marked down to $8.05! I am taking one more look at each pack of paper from the 2019-20 Annual Catalog and showing you one last idea for using it.

I got the idea for the layout of this card from the catalog ~ page 41. Then I colored, cut, and mounted floral images from Forever Blossoms. This stamp set will carry over into our new catalog this year, as will the coordinating Cherry Blossoms Dies. However, they won’t be offered as a bundle once the new catalog goes live. Purchase them HERE to save 10% on the two items.

I used Blends to quickly color the images from Forever Blossoms. Old Olive, Soft Sea Foam, and a touch of Flirty Flamingo with the stamped image in Garden Green make up my color palette.

On the inside, I stamped and colored two more images from the set.

The sentiment I chose is from Varied Vases. I use this birthday greeting often! It is on the retiring list, however. You know what I’m going to say ~ if you don’t have one, get it now! See it HERE.

A trio of tiny rhinestones just seemed to fit perfectly on the end of the sentiment strip. Those, with the Wink of Stella on the flowers give this card just enough bling!

Karen, thanks for the inspiration. I have the paper and the stamp set and now just use it. I am like Linda, a hoarder!

Me three enjoying your reminder these are retiring. I didn’t get a pack of it but had my shares. I don’t think I used them as I just wasn’t sure what to do with the Paper. Now, I have more half sheets to use. But, now I have a whole host of ideas to make some stunning cards. I have been on the fence about that stamp set, but once so many cool ideas to use it. I think this is such a pretty card and I would love to CASE it. Thanks again Karen for a lovely trip down memory lane.

  4. Beautiful card. Love your focus on the retiring DSP packs—a good reminder to “use it up” (NEVER gonna happen in my case…#hoarder…but I am inspired to do better…!) Thanks for the inspiration.

    • I have a ways to go in order to “use it up” too Linda! But I’m working my way through. there won’t be room for new paper if I don’t!!!

  5. Karen, love this card! I’m enjoying your series looking back at the retiring DSP! Great idea!
