Fruit Stand Thank You Notes

There is nothing more satisfying to me than making a gift for someone that is practical, pretty, and handmade.  It’s so easy to do with Stampin’ Up!’s choice of papers, stamps, and coordinating products.

My son and daughter-in-law are juggling jobs, dissertations, a 2 1/2 year old boy, and a newborn in the NICU at the hospital.  Our church is rallying around them with meals to help them out.  I know Linnea will want to write thank you notes, because that’s how she is! so I made her a set of notecards using Fruit Stand DSP.  The images of fruit are just the right thing for the occasion.

I’ve made 6 cards, each one different, so I’ll share a couple of cards/day here.  I do love how they turned out with this beautiful paper.

I almost missed this lemon paper because I was focused on the back side – the little green apples that are so cute.  See them here.  I’m so glad I turned it over to find this bright and cheerful yellow print!  I cut a piece at 4 3/4″ x 3 1/4″ and glued it to a Whisper White Notecard.  You’ll find this sentiment in One Big Meaning.  I stamped it with Crushed Curry on white, then layered it on a piece of Crushed Curry cardstock.  I cut a lemon out from my leftover DSP and layered it on Crushed Curry also, snipped it out and popped it up on Dimensionals.  The lemon is sparkly from Wink of Stella on the sections.
To finish, I lined the envelope flap with another coordinating piece of DSP from the same pack.
My second card has a strip of the pears layered with Whisper White and glued to a piece of Old Olive that has been embossed with the (retired) Vine Embossing Folder.  If I had been thinking ahead I would have ordered the new Petal Burst Embossing Folder.  That will definitely be on my next order! The sentiment on this one is from Cottage Greetings.  I stamped it with Soft Suede and used Layering Ovals Framelit Dies to cut it out.  The scalloped oval is Soft Suede.
These are CAS (Clean And Simple) cards that go together quickly and turn out so pretty with little effort. The paper is the star of the show!
Check back with me tomorrow to see some more!  Until then ~
Have fun stamping!
