Friendly Foliage for CSF 897

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! We’re finishing out November with a sketch challenge at Create with Stamping Friends! I have a very fun card today using a new favorite, Friendly Foliage, for CSF 897.

I started out with a simpler, get well card using this layout. Maybe I’ll show it at the end. Later on I realized that this post will go out on Thanksgiving Day in the US, so I wanted a thankful card to be my submission! This leaf die from Friendly Foliage reminds me of turkey feathers, so I opted to cut it in several colors to look like it belonged on a Thanksgiving card! It took a little longer to paper piece the “feathers” but worth it in the end!

Recipe:

• Early Espresso Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″
• Very Vanilla layer, 5-1/4″x 4″
• Woven Textures DSP, 5″x 3-3/4″
• Earthen Toned Metallic Sheet strip, 4-3/4″x 1-1/4″
• 3 Very Vanilla rectangles, each @ 1″x 2″
• Earthen Toned Metallic sheet, Friendly Foliage Dies, three
• Various colors of Cardstock (Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, Earthen Toned Metallic, Lemon Lolly, Granny Apple Green, and Cajun Craze), Friendly Foliage Dies
• Sentiment from Gathering Moments Stamp Set, stamped with Early Espresso ink onto Very Vanilla Cardstock, fussy cut
• Three copper Metallic Gems

This angle shows the shine a bit better! The Earthen Toned Metallic paper is such a rich beautiful color!

Looks a little boring after the colorful feather/leaves on the first card!
