To Every Season, Card #2

On Monday, I started a weekly post that I called, “One Stamp Set, Three Different Ways.” I’m using the versatile bundle, For All Seasons, a photopolymer stamp set and four mini punch bundle. If you missed Monday’s post, you can see it HERE.

For today, my second card uses the leaf stamps and punch, for a Thanksgiving card.

I pulled out the three leaf stamps and three colors of ink, Terracotta Tile, Grapefruit Grove, and Mango Melody. I started stamping on a larger piece of Whisper White than I needed, approximately 6″ x 4-1/2″, then I trimmed it down to 5-1/4″x 4″ after stamping.

Eyeball It!

This stamping is random. Completely random! I started in the center and worked my way around and out. I used the same color for each stamp (i.e. the largest leaves are all Grapefruit Grove, the mediums are all Mango Melody, and the smallest are all Terracotta Tile.)

Once I finished my stamping, I mounted it to a Terracotta Tile card base. Then I glued a 1/4″ strip of Copper Foil across the width. For the sentiment piece I cut three circlular shapes. The smallest Stitched Circle Die has the sentiment in Terracotta. The next size is a Layering Circle Scalloped Die in Terracotta. The largest is a Layering Circle Die in So Saffron.

Improvise

I punched three tiny Copper Foil leaves with the mini leaf punch, held them together with Glue Dots, and added a bow. That bow is a stripped down Grapefruit Grove Nature’s Twine! The color was perfect, but the twine was too thick for my taste, so I unravelled the 3 strands and used one to tie a bow. Just right!

More leaves on the inside, using the same three colors.

Last, there’s a tiny bit of bling with a Rhinestone Basic Jewel, colored with my Cajun Craze Blend marker to give it an orangey glow. The envelope is decorated with Mango Melody DSP from the 6″x 6″ DSP Brights pack.

There are actually four seasons represented in this set. I may have to add a fourth one to the weekly post. It seems a tad bit early for Valentine’s Day… but we can make them and save them, right? Or tuck the idea into your Keep to CASE file! You have one of those, don’t you? I thought so! 🙂

Tomorrow is the Pals Blog Hop for October ~ a must see! Do come back and check out all the lovely seasonal ideas that will be presented in our Hop. I will resume this One Stamp Set, Three Four Different Ways on Thursday. ‘Bye for now!
