I have to admit I struggled a bit with the proportions and I was stretched to get it just the way I wanted it. I guess that’s why they are called challenges, right? But I immediately knew which paper and stamp set I wanted to use, so that was half the battle. I like the end result!
This is a 4 3/4″ square card. The base is Blackberry Bliss. The white layer is embossed with the Fluttering Embossing Folder. I used circle framelits # 6 and 7. The circle piece is popped up with Dimensionals, as is the little butterfly! I stamped the flowers with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them in with Stampin’ Write Markers.
Because it is an odd size, I made a custom envelope — a cinch with the Envelope Punch Board — and guess what? It’s on sale this week for a 25% discount! If you don’t have one yet, click on this link and go get it! It is one of those tools that you must have!
I lined the flap with matching DSP. Inside, I stamped the Easter sentiment from Suite Sayings and added another butterfly.
Go to the Pals Paper Arts site and see all of the wonderful creations that were inspired by Amy’s sketch. It always amazes me how so many different looks can originate from the same sketch. We all see things just a little differently and that makes these challenges so much fun to participate in.
If you would like to own the Flowering Fields stamp set or the Wildflower Fields DSP, go to www.karenhallam.stampinup.net and place an order of $50. You will be able to choose one of these gifts free with your purchase. A $100 order will get you both of them. Or you can choose any of the wonderful products in the SAB Catalog, free with a qualifying purchase.
Thanks for stopping by. Until next time,
Happy Stamping!
