Welcome to our final CASEing Coast to Coast for 2020! This month I sent this design from California all the way to Pennsylvania for Rosanne to CASE. Pretty amazing how far these cards travel, yes? Haha! Gotta love the internet! 🙂
Simple yet so pretty
I went with a super simple design this month and am looking forward to seeing which elements Rosanne uses on her card. I’ve got something new and something old(er) on this card. My sentiment is the new part. This “thank you” comes from a set called Sweet Ice Cream out of the upcoming January – June Mini Catalog (available Jan 5). And even though the DSP I selected looks like Rainbow Sherbet, ice cream is not the theme I was shooting for here. I just love that font, don’t you?
Heat embossing tip
This Designer Paper is from the 2020-21Annual Catalog and is called Artistry Blooms. I cut a 4-5/8″x 3-3/16″ piece and glued it to a 4-7/8″x 3-3/8″ piece of Whisper White. Then I centered the sentiment and stamped it with Versamark Ink. Tip:Â I find that I have much better luck at getting a good sticky coverage of Versamark Ink when I use my Stamparatus. I can go over it twice without worrying about missing the placement. I then heat embossed it with white embossing powder, and the coverage is always good.
Glue this foil paper with small daubs of liquid glue
Next I glued the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Paper over the DSP. This product also comes out of the Annual Catalog. I bought a pack eons ago and truly forgot about it. I love it and want to use more in the near future. It is so easy to get that wow factor with this foil paper! See another card I made earlier in the year using this gold specialty paper.
I’ve mounted it onto a base of Rich Razzleberry Cardstock and added three Wonderful Gems. These gems have little flecks of gold in them – perfect!
Inside, more gold laser-cut leaves and a sweet sentiment from Free As a Bird. Are you surprised I didn’t make another Christmas card? We are getting to the point now where it will soon be too late for Christmas cards, so I’m hoping you enjoy the change! And thank you cards are always needed post-Christmas.
My envelope includes a similar DSP from Artistry Blooms along with a 3/8″ strip of Rich Razzleberry.

Whisper White Soon To Be Replaced With “Basic White”Â
We are sad to announce that the supplier’s mill producing our Whisper White cardstock has permanently closed due to impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, we weren’t given much notice on this closure. This means that the technology unique to this particular supplier is now unavailable to us and we can no longer offer our Whisper White cardstock and related products, such as Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes. Please note that this won’t affect any of our other cardstocks, this only affects Whisper White.
We know Whisper White has a huge fan base; we’re big fans, too! And we are crushed that it’s going away. Even though this decision was out of our hands, rest assured that we jumped right into action to find the best replacement paper possible. We have dedicated many hours to source and test alternative cardstock options from several suppliers to find the perfect fit that still maintains the Stampin’ Up! quality you know and trust. We are happy to share that we have found a winner for our new cardstock, Basic White!
The quality of our new Basic White was thoroughly tested by our quality assurance and product teams. It also tested very well with demonstrators and concept artists who gave it a huge thumbs up. We believe in the quality of the new Basic White cardstock and we know it will become your new crafting staple!

Aha, Karen! Both your card and Rosanne’s have given me ideas for hubby’s anniversary card. Yep, it’s the big one…50 years on Saturday! I’ve been trying to think of a way to use gold and now I have it. Thanks to both of you! I really enjoy your Coast to Coast CASEs.
Love the simplicity yet it’s dramatic. Very nice!
Super card, Karen. Even though ice cream wasn’t your intention here…the colors are so yummy and the gold foil is the cherry on top! Can’t believe we’re done caseing for the year! I’m looking forward to more cross-country card adventures with you.
