Field of Flowers for Pals’ June Blog Hop

Hello, welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month our theme is the “new 2020-2022 In Colors.” The Design Team is showcasing the new family of in colors from the new catalog. We know you will love them as much as we do! At the end of my post, you will find the full line-up below to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

What better way to show off all of the beautiful new In Colors than to line them up with big bold stripes?! And can’t you just imagine a field of flowers with this rainbow of colors dotting the horizon?!

First the stripes

I have 1″x 3-7/8″ strips glued to a Whisper White base measuring 5″x 3-7/8″. Left to right, there is Misty Moonlight, Just Jade, Bumblebee, Cinnamon Cider, and Magenta Madness. Once those were dry I ran the panel through my embossing machine with our new Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder for some great texture. Then I glued it to a skinny layer of Basic Black, and then to a top-folding base of Thick Whisper White.

Next the art panel

I cut a Stitched Rectangle from Whisper White to approximately 3-1/2″x 2-1/4″. Then I stamped the “field” with Shaded Spruce. The flowers are from the new punch that is bundled with the stamp set called Confetti Flowers Border Punch. Each is dotted in the center with a Black Glaze Pen.

I couldn’t have a field of flowers without some butterflies fluttering around, and the small dies in Butterfly Beauty were the perfect size!

I stamped “Thinking of You” in Versamark Ink and heat embossed it on black cardstock with white embossing powder.

And last the envelope

I matched the stripes in the card using the 2020-22 In Color DSP on the envelope flap. These new 6″x6″ DSP packs have new fresh designs that are so fun!

And here is a photo I took last month during a walk in our Community Park that may have been my inspiration! 🙂

More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Mark your calendars for July 8th – Gifts from the Garden when the design team will showcase cards or gift ideas from treasures found in the garden.  Don’t miss the fun! Until then, please stay safe and have fun in your craft room.
