Fall Wreath of Many Colors

It just isn’t Fall without a beautiful wreath hanging on the door, or in this case, sitting on my desk!

Swirly Scribbles Thinlits gave me the perfect base on which to build this wreath, even though you can’t see it! I glued it to a layer of Wood Textures DSP, then adhered it to a Soft Suede card base.

The tiny maple leaves are from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits and I used Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, Mango Melody, and Copper Foil Sheets. The extra Early Espresso sticks that you see are also from Seasonal Layers.

I added a tiny bit of grunge with Timeless Textures and the sentiment is from the new Country Home Photopolymer Stamp Set.

This one is way more traditional than my card on Friday! A little something for everybody!

Have a wonderful week! Let me leave you with a photo of our sunset on Friday. I was walking around the block and snapped several pictures. It was spectacular!

  1. This card is beautiful, especially on the beautiful 1st day of Fall here in MN. I love the way you used many different products to make it. REAL work of art!!

  2. Beautiful card! I am a newbie and wondering how you made the ribbon.

    • Thanks, Lois! Simply three strands of Linen Thread, tied in a bow with long tails. I think I gave the tails a little curl with the back of my scissors to make them go the directions I wanted them to.

  3. Just beautiful, the card AND the sunset!

  4. Fabulous!! I will need to CASE your card as well….a great reminder of whT is yet to come…..I love Fall and everything about it…..the cooler weather, colors as the leaves change…..Thanksgiving and Halloween, decorating…etc! TFS your beaytiful wreath!

  5. This is one fantastic card! I would have it in my stamp area that I could see it each day to remind me of the beauty of the season. With yesterday being the first “official” day of Fall…I can honestly say – I am sooooo ready to have Fall here and have the crisp days with beautiful colors…..well…I guess I need to make this card myself so I can continue to enjoy your inspiration.

  6. Our leaves aren’t ready to turn yet though there are hints of color starting. That was one thing I missed when we lived in Houston was the fall colors. I love your card – so pretty and I love the wood background. I need to do something similar. Plus, I need to bring out a bunch of my fall needlework pieces. A lot are not framed but maybe I can still display some. I didn’t think much of the mango melody thinking it looked like crushed curry but there is a difference. I ordered the blends in the mm color for some fall coloring. Love the sunset as well.

  7. Hi Karen, Lovely card. Fall is my favorite season. I adore that copper leaf!!!
The sunset is gorgeous. It is cloudy and overcast today.
    Have a blessed day.
    🙂
