Expressions in Ink

Another one of the cards in my July card class was this Expressions in Ink thank you card. So pretty in Polished Pink and Metallic Gold.

You don’t have to do much when the DSP is this pretty and detailed! I simply heat embossed the “thanks” from Artistically Inked with Gold Emboss Powder, mounted it onto Polished Pink Cardstock, and added the gold leaves from the Artistic Dies. Buy the stamps and dies together for a bundled discount of 10%.

Three glitzy pink gemstones add a tiny bit more sparkle to the shine.

Since that leaf die is so long, I cut off the two leaves at the base and used them on the inside. A narrow strip of paper left over from cutting the front piece adds a pretty touch to the inside.

Tip for gluing these leaves:

Adding glue to these intricate dies can be tricky. If you are using liquid glue, I recommend turning it over onto a Silicone Craft Sheet and touch the smallest of dots to the wider parts of the dies. Give the glue just a few minutes to set up then pick it up with tweezers and place it on your card. Another idea is to adhere the Gold Foil Sheet to a piece of double-sided Adhesive Sheet before you cut it, die cut as usual, then peel off the paper backing from the Adhesive Sheet to create a “sticker” with your gold leafy die cut branch.
