Enjoy Your Retirement

Here’s a card layout that can be adapted in many ways. Today, I’ve made it into a card that says, “Enjoy your retirement.” I’m at the age where many of my close friends are beginning to retire, and I happen to know quite a few golfers, so this seems like a natural card for me to have on hand.

I only used one little stamp on this card. The rest is Country Club Designer Series Paper and Cardstock. My sentiment is from Itty Bitty Greetings. If you don’t have that set in your collection, you should! It has a greeting for just about every occasion, and I like the tiny size.

Here is a look at the Country Club Designer Series Paper. The sheet on the far left is where I cropped the golfer from. You can see it has the man, but also a woman, and a tree/water scene. You can color the images, or leave them black and white as I did. Click HERE to see another card I made with this Country Club DSP.

The golfer on my card is the backside of the Argyle paper that I used in my background. If you are mindful of how you cut your paper, you can cut the hole from the argyle to be perfectly aligned with your golfer image. Then glue the argyle to the Whisper White layer and cover the hole with a Night of Navy Stitched Circle. Then glue the golfer circle over the top of the navy.

The Garden Green rectangle measures 3-1/4″x 1-1/2″. I made a second card and ran the green piece through the Big Shot with an embossing folder to give it more texture. I liked that a lot!

The Poppy Parade Baker’s Twine is part of the combo pack in the Country Club Suite. Perfect match, of course!

Fore!

Enjoy your retirement! When the golf courses are open again after the Coronavirus pandemic has passed, try some golf! Meanwhile, if you have access, the golf course is a great place to get out and walk while maintaining the suggested physical distancing. I just need to say, I am looking forward to the end of this! Meanwhile I’m hopefully contributing to the cure by practicing physical distancing. I hope you are too!

Have a healthy and productive day,
