We have a beautiful Spring color palette to work with this week on Create With Connie & Mary. It’s a color challenge using Pool Party, Granny Apple Green, and Highland Heather. These colors together remind me of an Easter egg, so I made a card offering Easter Blessings! Here is the challenge board:
And here is my card:
I always thought of this stamp set, Season’s Blessings, as a Christmas set! You can see a card I made with it last December HERE. But it also makes a lovely Spring basket using these colors. You can find this stamp set in the Annual Catalog (at least for one more month!) on page 94.
Card Details:
- Pool Party Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″
- A layer of Pool Party, 5-1/4″x 4″, embossed with Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder
- Pool Party 6″x 6″ DSP patterned paper, 5-1/4″x 2-1/2″
- Shimmery White Cardstock, 2-1/2″x 1-1/2″ embossed with Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder
- Shimmery White Cardstock, 2-1/4″x 2-1/4″ for basket die-cut with Seasonal Basket Dies
- Basic White Cardstock scraps for leaves, flowers, and sentiment
- Granny Apple Green ink for leaves, Highland Heather ink for flowers and sentiment
- Hippo & Friends Dies for sentiment label
- Highland Heather 1/2″ Grosgrain Ribbon, cut in 1/2 lengthwise and tied in a bow
- Wink of Stella for flower centers
If you can’t tell by just reading it, this card has a lot of texture and shimmer! The Shimmery White Cardstock, shimmery ribbon, and Wink of Stella on the flowers gives everything a subtle sparkle. The embossing, die cut basket, and stitched label provide loads of texture.
I love this color combo! What do you think? Be sure to wander over to Create With Connie & Mary to see what the rest of the team did with these colors! I wonder if there will be any Easter eggs?!

Such a beautiful bouquet. I think of a friend that loves purple and has allergies so this is the perfect bouquet for her. You have hit it out of the park again!
Beautiful Easter card. I don’t think I have seen this stamp set. Love the vase that you used for the flowers.
Thanks so much!
