Want a quick & simple card idea? I made this one from some leftover pieces that I found from an old kit I had put together. The easy part is that you can put whatever foliage dies you have into the pot. I started with Earthen Textures Dies:
- Begin with a base of Pool Party Cardstock, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″.
- Add a Basic White layer, textured with an embossing folder. This one is Exposed Brick.
- Crop a pot from Earthen Textures Dies and Earthen Elegance DSP. Add a topper using Oxidized Copper Specialty DSP.
- Cut foliage from a variety of plant dies and papers. I used Gorgeously Made and Earthen Elegance DSP for the large one, Earthen Textures Dies and Pretty Peacock Cardstock for the medium one, and Textured Floral Dies with Oxidized Copper (Pretty Peacock) Paper for the smallest one.
- Adhere the pot with Dimensionals.
- Add a sentiment on a skinny strip. This is one I have in my stash. I used Pretty Peacock ink. Secure the right side with Mini Dimensionals and glue under the left to fit nicely over the pot.
I was delighted to be able to use my leftovers to build this card! I’ll be sending it to a friend who is struggling with health issues along with 2 Corinthians 4:7 as an encouragement.
Have a beautiful fall weekend! We go off Daylight Savings Time in California tonight. I’m looking forward to the extra hour of sleep! 😴
