Dress Ups For Gift Cards!

Good Monday Morning!  As we are approaching December (tomorrow!) I am thinking about gifts that I will be giving my family.  Wait — don’t tell me you are all done with your shopping!  In my dreams!

My own children are grown and two have families of their own now.  And although I will have wrapped gifts for my grandsons, my three would rather have gift cards than anything else.  So one of my favorite projects is creating gift card holders.  I’ve tried many styles in the past years.  This is a new one for me and I’m loving how it turned out.

I used Lots of Labels Framelits to cut the top edges, Stylish Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the front texture, and Stars Framelits for the Crumb Cake and Mossy Meadow stars on the belly band.  A cherry button from the Regals collection and Linen Thread adorn the band.

I stamped the inside using stamps from Santa’s Gifts.  The pocket is the perfect fit for any gift card.

I will give dimensions and directions for this project in my December Newsletter.  If you would like to have that, simply sign up for my free newsletter at the top of this post, under Contact Me.  Be sure to designate Request My Newsletter in the pull down menu!

Here are another two that I made.  I utilized some scraps from previous years’ DSP Stacks.

I hope I’ve given you a new idea for gift card holders!  Supplies are listed below and linked to my online store.  Have a great day!
