Dipping into more watercolor!

Happy Monday!  Here’s a cutie for you ~ and so simple, but with a few special elements.  This snappy crab can be found in You’re Sublime, which comes in clear or wood mount.

Images by Stampin’ Up!

I stamped Mr. Snappy with Versamark Ink, then heat embossed him using black embossing powder.
Out came the Aqua Painter, Calypso Coral and Soft Sky ink pads.  A quick wash of color and done!
I filled in his eyes with Crystal Effects, and although you can’t see it very well in the photo, it gave them a cool 3-D effect.

I backed the Watercolor Paper and DSP with skinny black layers, which set off the image nicely.
Black Baker’s Twine wrapped around, secured with Dimensionals, and a few strands tied in a knot finish it off.  All of the supplies I used will be listed at the bottom and they are linked to my online store for easy shopping 🙂

Have a “snappy” week!  I’ll be back tomorrow to show you the new Weekly Deals.  Meanwhile, I’m going to go write my grandson a note in this card and get it into the mail for him!

Happy Stamping!
Karen

  1. Ahh, thanks Barbara! I looked through lots of DSP before settling on this old paper. It was called Winter Frost. I think a Soft Sky from the current subtles DSP stacks would also look great but I used all of mine up!

  2. Hi Karen,
Cute! Cute! Cute! I love the crystal effects on the crab.
    What DSP did you use???
    Barbara
