Deck the Halls for a beautiful holiday card!

I have just enough time to squeeze in one more card before my company arrives! My daughter and grandson are coming for a visit from the Seattle area! Boy are they in for a shock with our hot weather here – nice to have a pool, where I’m sure Isaac will be 24/7!
I’m guessing that you recognize this sentiment by now, from our new Carols of Christmas stamp set. And what could be a more perfect backdrop for “Deck the Halls” than musical notes, created with our Sheet Music background stamp #143967 (wood mount) and #143970 (clear-mount)?! Here it is, stamped in black on Very Vanilla thick cardstock. I tore the edges and sponged them lightly with Always Artichoke Classic Stampin’ Pad.
The pine boughs were cropped in the Big Shot, using Pretty Pines Thinlits and my Precision Base Plate. I cut them from Always Artichoke and Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and added some black sprigs.
Deck the Halls is stamped in Cherry Cobbler onto Very Vanilla, cut out using the largest circle from Layering Circles Framelits and glued to the largest scalloped framelit (Artichoke) from the same set.
To tie in the cherry color, I added two 1/4″ strips across the corners. And that’s it! Pretty simple, yes? Always Artichoke is not a color I think to use very often, so I’m happy to pull it out and use a bit!
If you are new to my blog, I would encourage you to look at my previous two posts this week, featuring Carols of Christmas. It is a fantastic bundle and once you see all the things you can do with it, I know you’re going to want it, too!
Now, I’m off to the grocery store to stock up on “grandson” food! Then off to the airport to pick them up. I’m so excited!!!!
Enjoy your day!
