OK, so I bought all of this Designer Series Paper. Now what do I do with it?!!! Ever hear yourself think that? I have! So, here’s what you do. You cut into it and start making cards! Like this Dandy Garden triple strip card I made today ~
This is a dream card for a beginning stamper! The most difficult thing was getting the measurements for the width of the strips! No, I’m not a math genius, but I did manage to figure it out, and I’m going to share it with you!
Triple Strip
The paper I’ve used here is Dandy Garden 6″x 6″ DSP. I really like this sketched garden print in Mossy Meadow on white. I cut a piece at 5-1/4″x 3-3/4″ and divided it into thirds. Each strip is 1-1/4″ wide. Glue the strips to a 5-1/4″x 4″ piece of Mossy Meadow Cardstock, side pieces first, then the middle. Make sure you keep the print continuous, so the image looks like the paper before you cut it.
Tie a piece of Mossy Meadow braided linen trim around the card front and tie a bow between the two left strips. Sorry I didn’t measure the ribbon before tying it. I usually tie it before cutting it off the spool. I think I waste less that way! After your trim is tied on, put glue on the back and adhere the panel to the Mossy Meadow card base.
My sentiment from Prized Peony is stamped with Mossy Meadow onto Whisper White and cropped with a Layering Circle Die. Then I cropped the next size up in Mossy Meadow. The overall circle is 1-5/8″. They are adhered with Dimensionals.
My embellishment also comes from Dandy Garden DSP. I cut out around a small dragonfly on one of the sheets, glued it to some white cardstock for stability, then fussy cut around its shape. A double layer of Mini Dimensionals is holding it in place.
I lined the flap of my envelope, as usual, with a 1/4″ strip of Mossy Meadow and a 2″x 6″ piece of Mossy Meadow 6″x 6″ DSP.
New Mini Catalog Out Tomorrow!

Sometimes Simple Reigns!
You know, the fancy folds and intricate designs are fun to make, but these simple cards are so quick and practical. What do you think? Does this give you an idea for using some of your new DSP? Or even for using up some of your old DSP to make room for some new? I’ve got your number….! 🙂
Have a Dandy Day!

An awesome card & design! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, Pat!
So pretty. I love mossy meadow. I need to CASE this right down to the cute little fussy cut dragonfly.
Thanks, Chris! If you do case it, note that I fixed the dimensions of the DSP to 5-1/4″x 3-3/4″.
I like the elegant simplicity of this card. And it can be replicated with almost any DSP. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you, Meg! You’re right, it will work with any DSP ~ best with prints that show a continuous picture even after you divide it into thirds, as that makes it interesting to look at. I appreciate your comment!
